Importance + Time = ?

Sometimes important is really important.  It is important in a moment and in long time.

The importance of proposing to your loved one.  Really important in the moment and even more important with time.  The importance of gratitude.  Great video from my friend Don’s Perfect Plan group on gratitude.  Gratitude withstands the test of time.

Time invested in our children.  I know it is important.  I know it on a visceral level, but I also know how important it was for me as a child, now remembering the time my parents invested in me.

I also remember a very important project with a very important deadline, with very important visibility and budget and oversight committee and executive committee and…  basically, really fn important.  It was a matter of “life or death”.  Or was it?  Now, many moons after the deadline and the meetings and the reviews and risks and opportunities and SWOTs and additional capital needs and … well, you get the picture.  Well, on my favorite scale of 1 to 10.  10 being the most important in the whole world, I’d say the importance of the project is 2.  Not 1, but 2. 2 – to always remember what’s really important and what will stand the test of time.
