Hold on tight.
I got this email from Louisa about 10 minutes ago. Funny thing is that she replied to my email on a subject that had no relation to “me being pregnant”. A friend of mine sent me a link to a side-project of his, that’s going live on October 15th. So, I sent the link to Louisa, told her that it was confidential and boom – the reply I get:

You have been pregnant with your ideas long enough. It’s time to give birth to them.
Don’t misunderstand me. I’m not talking about money or paycheck. I’m talking about being happy and energized and feeling alive.
The disappointing part of that birthing process is that there will be no Epidural to ease the pain. It will hurt, but it will be worth it.
Because the “baby” will bring LIFE to YOUR world.
Though it will be tough with sleepless nights, getting the flu or even having a selective mutism, you will love, live and cherish every moment of growing, learning and maturing with your baby.
And one day that baby of yours will change the world.
So get in that chair and welcome the pain of giving birth and life to your ideas.
P.S. I don’t mind being the dad to help out. But I won’t be changing the diapers. 🙂

I’ve been holding tight to my dreams,
to my ideas and to my … Resistance? I guess that what it was/is. But I enjoy it so much. The ideas, the dreams… Feels pretty vulnerable to share with my friends who are reading this.
From Steven Pressfield’s awesome book “Turning PRO”:
“… Communion with a power greater than ourselves …” – I’m off to “giving birth”. Due date to a long birthing process – October 1st. Hoping that kids will start popping by the year-end (abortion joke comes to mind, but will spare it).
On an unrelated note: I’m seriously thinking to buy a Mantis shrimp. Live, not for dinner. Hoping that Louisa isn’t reading the blog. Or it will be for dinner and a thick aquarium on Ebay. And she really won’t like me publishing her email. Hmm, I wonder what’s going to be for dinner… http://viooz.co/movies/4706-the-cook-the-thief-his-wife-her-lover-1989.html skip to 116 minute…
